Let us know if you are a carer
If you are a carer who helps and supports someone who can’t manage on their own, we want to ensure you get all the support you need.
We are trying to identify as many carers as we can, particularly those people who may be looking after a member of their family, or helping a friend or neighbour with day to day tasks, who don’t really regard themselves as a carer and are undertaking the vital activity without help or support.
Although extremely valuable and important, caring for someone can mean being in demand round the clock and lead to a felling of isolation, which is why we want carers to receive all the support and information we can give, on topics suck as benefit entitlement, access to respite care or maybe simply to provide a kindly ear when things get too much.
We offer appointments for carers to see our carer support worker here at Mundesley Medical Centre. These one to one sessions can offer information, advice, guidance and emotional support. They will enable you to have someone to talk to on an individual basis about your caring role, and any arising issues that may have an impact on your own mental and/or physical well-being.
It might be you just need someone to talk to about your caring role in general, or you might need a specific piece of information advice, which would make your role as a carer easier.
Please speak to reception to book an appointment to see our carer support worker or to collect a carer’s pack. You can also use our online form to register as a carer with our practice.
